Discover hassle-free single parent camping with easy to set up equipment.
Single parent camping might sound like a challenge, but it doesn’t have to be. You just need some forward planning and the right camping gear. The kids are likely to be so excited, they’ll want to help too. So think of little things they can do. Like carrying the sleeping bags, banging in the pegs or helping with dinner.
The best part of the adventure is spending time together. Playing board games by lantern light, cooking marshmallows round a campfire, and snuggling up under the stars will make memories you’ll never forget. So be brave and go for it. You can do this.
Choose an easy pitch tent that can be set up by one person, like a self-inflating air tent, which does most of the hard work for you.
A good sleeping bag can make all the difference to how you sleep. You’ll need junior sizes for the kids to keep them comfy and a snuggly warm one for you too.
For extra comfort, go a flock airbed. These come in double or single sizes and can be pushed together to create a huge bed for you all. Mats are more compact if you need to pack light..
A camping dining table is the heart of the tent as this is where you’ll eat, play and relax. Add some good chairs for comfy seating and you’re set.
You can’t go camping with the kids and not eat round the campfire. Plan your meals ahead and just bring the cooking equipment you’ll need. Get the kids involved too - it’s surprising how much more fun washing up is at a campsite!
